The Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim May Not Be Released until May

| |

Samsung have scheduled an unpacked event on the 22nd of January, where we expect to see the latest Galaxy S25 series lineup. The poster we saw showcased four devices (or at least their corners), and we assumed we would see four new phones – Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and a brand-new Galaxy S25 Slim.

According to some rumor from China, the Galaxy S25 Slim will be delayed until May.

The S25 Slim phone is expected to be 6.5 mm thin but will be a large device, sitting somewhere between the Plus and the Ultra in terms of footprint. It will have a 6.6” AMOLED panel with over 1080p resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

The phone being slim means it will be likely coming with a new silicon-carbon battery, which is lighter but has a fairly large capacity – probably around 5,000 mAh.

This isn’t the first time we have heard about Samsung delaying the slim, and we are still unsure whether the cryptic message is about China; it might not be true at all. We have to wait until next Wednesday when we’ll learn more at the event.
